I am an anthropologist and archaeologist. I have been working as a consultant since 2003 and in archaeology since 1996 (I had a good deal of experience on the Cania Gorge Cultural Heritage Project and Port Curtis Coast Cultural Heritage Project and my honours thesis included the Burnett River Engravings). I spent roughly a year at Quensland South Representative Body Aboriginal Corporation (QSRBAC) and another at Queensland South Native Title Services (QSNTS). I am now back at QSNTS as Native Title Manager. Prior to this work my focus had been in archaeology and cultural heritage. I have worked for the Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Unit, University of Queensland since 2001 in various capacities (researcher, student support, publications). I am currently completing an MA in philosphy. I also do web design and mediation/facilitation in Native Title and Cultural Heritage contexts. I have lectured and tutored at UQ in anthropology, archaeology, Indigenous studies and ethics. I am currently a member of AACAI, AAA, WAC and am considering joining AAS and am applying to be a memeber of AIATSIS (Stay tuned). I prefer to work in central and southern Queensland but am happy to consider jobs from all over Australia. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! email me here. |
